It's true, simple things matter most in life. Not necessarily simple thoughts, but taking the time to recognize authentic joy and how easy it is to accept and grasp if we take the time to practice reaching and tugging for it.
Trouble is we're usually so busy rushing kids to soccer games or sitting in pointless committee meetings that we seldom take time to nourish our souls.
Perhaps these short stories will encourage you to simplify your life. Perhaps they'll help you find pleasure in the smallest insights and riches in the most hidden places of your relationships. Perhaps through these pages you'll discover life's real treasure--that choosing to simplify your days is choosing a more fulfilled life--a life brimming with blessings.
